After posting a photo of my black on black, matte french manicure, I got a few e-mail requests asking how I did it. I decided to do a short tutorial. It’s an easy process, but there were a few things that I had to learn the hard way. Firstly, be sure to apply a top coat on top of the black. The matte polish seems to strip away the polish underneath and I found that adding a top coat helps to eliminate streaking. Secondly, be gentle with the matte polish and allow it to dry completely before peeling the strips. Enjoy!
